It never ceases to amaze me how a simple Beard can ignite so much commotion among people. What is it about the presence of hair upon ones face that unnerves some and draws praise from others? Why do some women swoon and others swear in the presence of a chin chandelier? Wearing a beard is an act of defiance and delight, it soothes some and incites others. It’s power perplexes, provokes and pleases and always produces pontificating of the oddest kind. Wearing face fur is an act of social engagement that requires courage. I tell my tales in hopes of sustaining the weary soul whose wilting under the constant barrage of unasked for commentary and critique. Hang in there bearded brother…the beard bullies can be overcome. I pray for your beard burden, may you have the strength to resist the shave and walk on into whiskered wisdom.
