Rather than question why I have a beard I now ponder why I didn’t always…
Oh, I dabbled in muttonchops and goatees and vacation scruff of course, but until I allowed my facial hair to follow it’s own destiny I had no idea how much verve it had. How much joie do vivre. Nor how insanely curly and rugged it was. It truly has a mind of it’s own and learning to not battle it and allow it to freely express itself has been enlightening. It has a drawing power that attracts a certain type of admirer - and naysayer, though critics be damned - who understands the value of personal charms and totems. #Magician? Damn straight! Everyone needs more magic.
