Is it true that facial grows more in the summer/warmer months, or is this a myth that has tickled my beard's fancy? Also, one other question - and this may seem a tad odd. Will the contact of oils from your hands stunt the growth of your beard in certain places if you rest your hands there too often? (i.e. your chin, cheeks etc.)

not completely sure about the first question, it would make sense though. 

to answer your second question, no.  the oils produced by your hands are  the same oils produced all over your body, called sebum.  which is secreted by/near the hair follicle regardless of your hands being on your face.
