Beard trimming. The odd thing about a beard is you can change the general shape of your face by elongating it (growing a longer front), by making your face look wider, (fuller on the sides), etc..
For the last 34 years, I’ve trimmed mine just below the jawline. Now I match the bottom length to the angle of the top. It’s turned out to be my widest beard. I’m not a fan of really narrow ones.

Self portrait.
Nearing the year anniversary of owning my first DSLR, I decided to finally order a second lens to accompany my current Tamron 17mm-50mm f2.8 zoom lens. I decided on a decidedly cheap yet infinitely usable “nifty fifty”, the Canon 50mm f1.8 prime lens. I got it in today, so I believe I’ll be using it here on out for my febphotoaday posts. And here is the first ever picture of myself using f1.8. Look at all that bokeh!
